Every open-source project takes pride in its users. We want our community to grow and hope that our work will make life easier for as many people as possible. Let's take a look at usage statistics from January 2023 and see how our project has been doing last month.
Allure Report is an open-source lightweight multi-language test report tool maintained by Qameta Software.
Allure Report usage statistics
But first - a disclaimer: our analytics is limited as it contains only users who make reports on open networks and share statistics anonymously. This means the statistics are limited, but we hope that they are still representative. Now then, what were the usage rates last month?
With 3.7 million users and 59 million reports, we keep growing. The number of users this January is 5.3% more than last November - we get the same steady, continuous growth we've had throughout last year.
One interesting thing to note is that the number of new users has much stronger weekly fluctuations than the overall number of users. This means that people who have been running Allure Report for a while usually do it both on weekends and workdays. One possible explanation is that using Allure Report for a longer period of time and automating the pipeline tend to go hand in hand. We hope this is the case - automation brings us closer to the future!
Speaking of new and returning users, here is how it breaks down right now:
As you can see, a healthy core of old users and a steady influx of new ones.
Daily, weekly and monthly usage
573k daily users - that is the number we're proud of and that we really want to go up, because daily usage means daily test runs, which in turn means a shorter and more controllable delivery cycle. And by the way, on January 11th this number was 536k, so it's increased by 7% over one month - not half bad!
